I can’t believe all of the planning and talk of us going to Switzerland is finally coming to an end on Tuesday when myself, Gailen and our videographer KC, board our Swiss International Airlines flight to Zurich!
We’ve been working with Switzerland Tourism for almost a year now on various television and print projects but we have actually never been to the country! We’re leaving Tuesday night and will spend a week there filming in three different cities for our TV segments on Better and Daytime. I’m estimating you’ll see them on the air in June.
One of the highlights of the trip, for me, is flying on an A340! Yes, I know, I’m an airline geek. But, I’m also excited to fly on SWISS. I’ve heard many good things about their comfort and service that I hope they live up to their expectations. Their website even has a video (below) that shows off large TV screens, a decent recline and friendly service, needless to say they have my attention and I’m excited to try it out. Rest assured, we’ll be reporting our experience back to all of you!
I will say, one thing that annoys me is the ability to book seats. We’re about to board an 11 hour flight and can’t pre-select seats in Economy. So you have no control over whether you’re stuck in a middle seat in the middle of the plane or a window. Their website says that 48 hours prior you should be able to confirm seats, so let’s hope that’s the case because it’s going to be quite uncomfortable stuck in a middle next to people I don’t know for 11 hours.
Anyway, that aside, this should be an amazing trip! Seven days, three cities, three Swiss Deluxe Hotels and a slew of activities to show off what an amazing destination Switzerland is. Make sure you follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to follow along!
